Cycle Southern Africa

This annual cycle tour event is a beautiful way to experience a country as large and diverse as South Africa. It’s great road infrastructure, and breathtaking scenery, make for pleasant cycling conditions, and the ability to easily cover reasonable distances on a daily basis.

Additionally, South Africa offers visitors a number of added experiences along the way, in terms of cultural and wildlife encounters, a mosaic of arts and places of historical significance.

This three-week  tour is suitable for riders who are of moderate fitness levels or higher, and who have reasonable cycling experience. Daily distances are between 50 – 100km. Riders ride at their own pace but are encouraged to make good use of the ample time allocated to cover the distances at a leisurely pace.

Support Vehicles

Support vehicles are available to ferry bikes and riders in the event of mechanical failure or if you simply wish to sit out a leg and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of a spacious air-conditioned vehicle. All luggage, spare parts, and refreshments are carried by the support vehicles, so riders are not weighed down on their bikes during their ride.

Bicycle Mechanic

A qualified bicycle mechanic will escort the tour party throughout the trip, and is available to facilitate repairs and maintenance on the fly, as well as to maintain and prep the bikes for following legs. This is in the interest of providing you with the most pleasant and safest riding experience throughout your journey.
